FROGNAPPED? Frognappers Hop Away With Unsuspecting Frog |
|
In the still of a winter's night and right before Christmas, Froggy—a quiet and decent amphibian minding his own business, was frognapped by persons unknown and whisked away from the front yard of Dr. L. Bryan Cheshire.
A ransom demand for his release was soon posted at Marlborough Hospital by a group calling themselves Friends of the Frog. A massive frog-hunt was soon underway, with Special Agent Ribbit of the FBI (the Frog Bureau of Investigation) heading the efforts.
So where was Froggy? Who would pull off such a daring caper? All the clues pointed to it being an inside job.
And it was! It seems that some of the staff at Marlborough Hospital were up to their old tricks—but all for a good cause. All the proceeds raised to ransom Froggy back were to be donated to the MCSI Food Pantry.
The generous doctors nurses, staff and even some patients raised a whopping $500 for Froggy's safe return and presented it to MCSI Director Fatinha Kerr.
As for Froggy, he had no comment, leading investigators to suspect he was in on the whole caper from the beginning.
